I congratulate and thank all those who have contributed to getting the Botanic Gardens listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site ("Yes, Botanic Gardens is a World Heritage Site"; Sunday).
It is a very timely accolade as Singapore is celebrating its 50th year of independence on Aug 9.
Many dignitaries have visited the Botanic Gardens and I'm sure more will in the future.
