Kids need moral compass for brave new world

Certain developments and news about cheating, moral decay and social injustice perpetrated in the world of finance, football, politics and even athletics and religion in the quest for success are cause for concern.

To these people, the goal is so important that the means do not matter. They consider systematic cheating, moral compromise and social injustice as justifiable, as long as success is achieved.

In nurturing our children for the brave new world, let us not forget a proper moral compass, convictions on the need for integrity, honesty and concern for others.

If not, we may prepare them for so-called success that will lead not only to a path of materialism, but also elitism clothed with arrogance and a sheer disregard for the good of society and people at large.
