Some older underpasses in Singapore have long flights of stairs without escalators or lifts.
One good example of this is the underpass from Lucky Plaza shopping centre to Ngee Ann City.
It is extremely difficult for pregnant ladies, wheelchair users and the elderly to use this underpass. There are also no traffic lights nearby for people to cross from one side to the other with ease.
There should be escalators and lifts installed at all underpasses and overhead bridges, especially at older structures that were constructed before the 1980s, so that everyone will be able to use them with ease.
