Equip NEA officers with mini cameras

After the recent incident where a National Environment Agency (NEA) officer was accused of molesting a female smoker, the NEA should consider having its officers carry small cameras which can be attached to their uniforms ("Officer accused of molesting woman gave different account of what happened: NEA"; ST Online, Jan 14).

These cameras can clearly capture the happenings and conversations between the various parties. This would significantly help to establish who is in the right or in the wrong.

The practice of donning miniature cameras is already adopted around the world, such as in Hong Kong.

Public agencies in Singapore can also adopt this practice.
