Don't forget to clean toilet doors too

It is very true that some toilets in hawker centres and foodcourts are in very bad condition ("Eat, drink but maybe give the toilet a miss"; Nov 15).

Community centre toilets are also quite dirty. From what I have observed, cleaners just spray water and do not use any soap or disinfectant when washing the toilets.

A supervisor should make regular checks at foodcourts, shopping centres and community centres. Fines should be imposed for dirty toilets.

Another noticeable thing is dirty toilet doors, which carry germs. These doors should be washed with detergent on a regular basis.

More places should embrace an open-door concept for their toilet entrances, so users do not have to touch a door after washing their hands.
