The driveway in front of Suntec City Towers 3 and 4 is extremely busy because it serves two towers; it hosts a taxi stand; and is where all vehicles drop off and pick up passengers.

To make matters worse, the entrance and exit of this driveway are situated immediately after the slip road from Rochor Road and the East Coast Parkway, so vehicles entering the Suntec fountain roundabout add to the daily chaos.

Just around the corner from this is another driveway that is hardly used.

I had proposed to the Suntec managing agent to divert all non-taxis to the under-utilised driveway to ease the congestion at the chaotic driveway but the "GM Operation" replied that they have no control over the drivers.

I would have thought that this is something that is within the control of Suntec's managing agent.

That being the case, could the Land Transport Authority or any other authority look into the situation not only to ease the daily traffic snarls and chaos, but also to prevent accidents that are waiting to happen?
