Cycling diagonally across road junctions unsafe

There has been much discussion on riding bicycles in Singapore.

Recently, there has been a trend of cyclists riding diagonally across traffic junctions.

This is very dangerous for cyclists, as most drivers would not expect to see a cyclist in the centre of the junction when the driver is making a turn at the junction.

What are the authorities' views on this practice?
