Consider use of e-services to update addresses

Currently, those who want to update their addresses in Singapore have to go to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or Neighbourhood Police Post and Centre (NPC).

With banks and telcos encouraging e-statements, shouldn't the ICA relook having self-help e-services for the updating of particulars? SingPass could be used for this purpose.

When I was waiting at an NPC to update my address, I observed a total of five members of the public also walking in to do so.

Shouldn't policemen be freed from these mundane tasks to perform other duties?
