Condo managing agents accreditation scheme not mandatory

The Association of Property and Facility Managers' Accredited Managing Agent scheme is not legislated by the Government ("Boosting standards of condo management" by the Association of Property and Facility Managers; Aug 19).
There is, thus, no impetus for managing agents to join the scheme since this is not required by law.
Thus, as I have earlier argued ("More regulation needed over managing agents"; Aug 11), the Government has to step in.
