Are eateries' 'No MSG' claims reliable?

Of late, many restaurants, especially those in the Little India area, have been displaying the "No MSG" sign, referring to the absence of monosodium glutamate, a flavour enhancer, in their food.

This claim is highly suspect, as the food items in these eateries definitely taste of MSG.

The authorities should conduct checks to ascertain the veracity of such claims, and take action if these claims turn out to be false.

Other claims such as "No reuse of oil" also bear checking, to ensure that diners are not deliberately misled.
