Add visual, audio effects to CNY decor

I visited Chinatown Street Market one evening soon after the official light-up on Jan 27.

Situated at the road divider between New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street are giant Chinese New Year decorations featuring a pack of six dogs.

Although they are aesthetically pleasing, I believe the organiser could have made further improvements to them.

One idea is to incorporate some sort of animation to the display by enabling the dogs to move intermittently.

Such technology is readily available nowadays and is certainly not very costly.

We can also introduce some audio effects, enabling the dogs to emit barking sounds.

Unless innovative ideas are implemented, our Chinese New Year street decor would remain bland year after year.
