Who: Jonathan Toh Joo Khai, 46, works in the petrochemical sector.

My family: Married, with two daughters aged 10 and 14.

My home: A condominium unit in Choa Chu Kang.

My passions: Swimming, jogging, reading, travel and photography.

I first started writing to the Forum page in...: 2011.

What I write about: Politics, public transport, littering, smoking, tray return, and so on.

Why I write: To get more people to consider responsibilities and obligations, not only rights and entitlements. This will truly empower us to do the right thing, for example, avoiding populism in politics and taking ownership of our environment.

I read the Forum page because...: I would like to understand others' views on the key current issues.

My wish for Singapore: That it remains a shining red dot for many years to come, firmly supported by the three pillars of our success - unity, financial/economic strength, and a strong defence.
