Use tech properly to reap benefits

In this new age, technology has become something that we face daily.

Our generation has always been known as a tech-savvy one. However, our irresponsibility in using and handling technology has caused many problems.

The news of students being caught cheating in the entrance exam of a top Thai medical college has aroused much commotion and discussion ("'Mission: Impossible' cheating plot uncovered at Thai college"; May 10).

I believe many would have thought that the students would have the integrity and maturity to act responsibly. However, these students did not.

Technology is definitely a great servant, but it is also a bad master. It has the potential to benefit society, but we have to know the dos and don'ts, so as not to cause any problems.
