Nowadays, it seems that the issue of children refusing to eat healthy food has become more prevalent.
In eateries, I often see parents trying to coax their children to eat their greens. Some children are willing to drink only soft drinks.
I believe the root of the problem is the lack of strict parenting.
Most young parents these days work full time and have little time to spend with their children. Many of them are also unwilling to carry out the firm parenting that they experienced growing up, believing that their children should have freedom of choice.
I am glad that many schools have expressed that "helicopter parenting" is unacceptable.
This is a right step to encourage parents to manage their children in a firmer manner.
With stricter parenting from the start, children will have fewer opportunities to behave any way they want, including having an unhealthy diet.
