Singaporeans will be anxious and excited to know the results after polling booths close later tonight.

Whatever the outcome of this election, I hope that all my fellow Singaporeans will continue to stay united and work hard for our future, as no one owes us a living.

With Singapore having almost no natural resources, the next government will have to work together with the people to build a more stable and prosperous first-class nation.

Let us all not be divided by different political beliefs, economic status, language, race or religion.
