Review of use of Changi Creek dock under way

We thank Mr Jerome Teo Zhen Peng ("Beef up security instead of closing dock"; last Friday) and Mr Shah Pakri ("Closing dock will not end smuggling"; Forum Online, last Thursday) for their feedback.

The review of Changi Creek for the loading and unloading of fish produce is ongoing. No decision has yet been made.

Various agencies, such as the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore and the Police Coast Guard, have been working together to engage stakeholders, including coastal fish farmers and fish traders, to better understand their needs.

The agencies will take the feedback of the stakeholders into consideration in the review of the security measures to be deployed.
