Protests a pushback against hostility from leaders

As a young person, I am disheartened to see how people view those in my age group as being "whiny" and "unable to accept defeat" when they express their dissatisfaction ("Teach youth to accept defeat graciously" by Mr Bradley Christopher Boon; Nov 11).

In his election campaign, Mr Donald Trump created a space to normalise abusive behaviour towards minority groups.

The recent protests by millennials show disagreement with this, as well as their dissatisfaction of having to live in an environment where their own leaders are hostile towards certain groups of people. The protesters are anything but "hoodlums".
