For many months now, I always encounter the same problem when I visit Clementi Central - the barrier stays down at carparks CLC17 and CLC20, although there are always vacant white spaces for hourly parking .

This results in long queues on the roads leading to both these carparks.

I wonder if this problem occurs at other carparks.

Perhaps the authorities in charge of the carparks could look into this problem and ensure that the barriers lift to permit cars to enter when there are vacant parking spots available, so as to improve efficiency and reduce traffic congestion.
