The move to tackle fake news in the media is most welcome and should have been done long ago (Good news: Help in spotting fake news coming soon; June 21).
Many times, I have found differences in opinion between what news reports say and what I hear in school or from my parents.
The Japanese have a habit of tweaking facts regarding their behaviour leading to, and during, World War II. Other news is supposedly "twisted" due to the profit motive.
Running classes in school and having laws to combat fake news stories is important. Free speech should never be completely free.
