Is the regular reshuffling of school principals beneficial to their staff and students?
Reshuffling of principals is a good idea as every principal brings and implements new ideas and initiatives to the school, and this is how a school can improve.
Not that fresh blood isn't good, but shuffling too often will result in a break in continuity. Some principals already have a good working relationship with the teachers and heads... five to six years is a good period.
Another group of people that need to be reshuffled are the heads of department. Some of them have been in their positions for decades and they are not receptive to new ideas and suggestions.
Will the new day off for civil servants to do volunteer work boost volunteerism?
Yes... and it must include animal welfare. Some volunteers would love working with animals.
How will the volunteer leave be administered? Will there be a likelihood that people will abuse the system? With this as one of the unrecorded leave days, it can be easily abused.
What are some ways to achieve a holistic education?
Students must not be taught only academic subjects, but moral values and ethics, too .
Let students work in part-time jobs during secondary school... They will learn self-reliance, feel more grown-up and get some great job experiences.
What they learn from their jobs will be more practical... and will be ingrained in them.
