We thank Ms Shamim Moledina for her feedback ("Have more cubicles in public toilets for women"; Tuesday).

We appreciate her suggestion and will set aside more toilets for women and children for future large-scale events held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

In anticipation of a large number of visitors to the Gardens during the Jubilee Weekend festivities from Aug 7 to Aug 9, an additional 25 portable toilets will be placed around the Gardens for this period.

Going forward, we will work closely with event organisers who hold mass events in the Gardens to ensure there are sufficient toilets.
