Measures taken to improve hawker centre

We thank Mr Seah Jin Wah for his letter (Bring back shine of progressive hawker centre; June 23).

As the managing agent of Ci Yuan hawker centre, Fei Siong Social Enterprise has put in place measures to provide patrons with a pleasant and hygienic dining environment.

Our in-house hygiene officers conduct regular checks at the hawker centre to ensure that stallholders maintain high standards of hygiene. Our operations team also works closely with the stallholders and cleaners to maintain the overall cleanliness of the centre.

We will be implementing a new point-of-sale system at Ci Yuan hawker centre soon. The new system is integrated with an e-payment function, providing patrons with an additional option to pay for their meals.

We will continue to work closely with our stallholders to improve the level of customer service and to educate them on good customer-centric practices. Fei Siong Social Enterprise will also continue to work with the National Environment Agency to ensure that patrons of the hawker centre are able to enjoy affordable food in a pleasant dining environment.
