Dr Hong Hai has hailed China's Dr Tu Youyou's win of the Nobel Prize in medicine as a boost for traditional Chinese medicine ("Nobel Prize a boost to TCM"; Thursday).

I have noticed that many elderly people visit TCM clinics for muscular and joint problems.

There are also other medical conditions for which TCM is more effective than Western medicine.

Could usage of the Pioneer Generation card be extended to include TCM treatments?

This would help contribute to the total wellness of seniors.
