Leave the chope situation be

Views regarding whether the choping of seats is right or wrong have been bandied around for a long time, with the latest being expressed by Mr Ho Meng Hee (Breach of duty by authorities if choping is not stopped; Forum Online, Sept 9).

Mr Ho states in his letter that the National Environment Agency is duty-bound to prohibit choping.

Since it is an issue with no clear winner, it is only fair for the National Environment Agency not to do anything drastic.

Like they say, if there is doubt, the best course of action is to do nothing.

I believe there will be just as much resentment if the authorities prohibit choping as if they do not.
