Lawyer who helped teen client a role model for fraternity

I was delighted to read that a lawyer and his wife have acted as an 18-year-old's sureties to ensure her good behaviour ("Judge praises lawyer for helping teen client"; yesterday).

It is rare to hear of such good souls offering their assistance readily in such circumstances.

Lawyers such as Mr R. Thrumurgan are exemplary role models for the rest of the legal fraternity.

We need to see more pro bono work among lawyers.

They can help rebuild individuals' lives through such acts.
