Give voice to those who can't vote

The election season is now in full swing, and politicians from both the ruling party and the opposition are eager to listen to the needs and wants of voters.

Policies and plans will be proposed, and promises made.

In the midst of all this, I urge all candidates not to forget those whose voices are erased from the dialogue during this campaign period because they cannot vote.

The quality of life of foreign domestic workers and other low-income foreign workers, to name a few, depends heavily on the laws and policies of our land.

Singaporeans are a caring lot, and I am sure many voters will appreciate candidates and parties who consider all marginalised groups in their policy proposals.

Let us not forget them in our planning for the future of Singapore.
