Get tougher on killer drivers

I was enraged to read of Toh Cheng Yang's irresponsible driving under the influence of drugs, which caused an accident that claimed innocent lives ("CTE crash that killed 4: Driver gets maximum 5 years' jail"; June 20).

We need to be tougher on reckless drivers.

Many a time, accidents are a result of the driver's complacency and negligence.

These drivers should have their licences revoked and be banned from driving for life.

In cases where the accidents result in death, longer jail sentences should be imposed.
