Besides encouraging singles to get married, it is important to encourage those who are divorced to remarry as well ("More young people staying single"; yesterday).

There are many reasons why a divorce happens, and one could be that one of the spouses did not want children.

However, society is not very understanding towards the plight of those who are divorced. Dating agencies say it is difficult for those who are divorced to get hitched again, dampening their chances of procreating.

With the increase in divorce rates in the past few years, it is important to encourage not only singles to get married, but those who are divorced as well.

The Government's efforts should focus on both groups.
