Cut waiting time for appointments at KKH

Last month, I took my son for a 4pm appointment at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH). We arrived at 3.45pm, registered and waited for almost an hour.

The clinic was packed and the waiting children were restless.

When we checked with the nurse, she told us that the average waiting time was 21/2 hours from the appointment time. It was nearly 5pm and the doctor was just seeing patients whose appointments had been at 2.30pm, she added.

What is the point of making an appointment if we cannot see the doctor at the allocated time?

I sincerely hope KKH will schedule appointments more efficiently and effectively, and improve the waiting time for young patients and their parents.
