Bouquets: Glad Changi park has improved

Glad Changi park has improved

Last year, on a visit to Singapore, I made a trip to Changi Beach Park and was appalled at the amount of trash on the beach.

I sent a letter expressing my distress to The Strait Times (What happened to clean Singapore?; Feb 15, 2017).

I returned to Singapore and Changi Village this month with a friend, and I am delighted to say that this little park is now well-kept, clean, and as pretty as a picture postcard.

A few pieces of trash appeared to have blown in - so we happily did our part by picking them up and disposing of them properly.

Thank you, Singapore, for taking care of this charming seaside park and making it a joy for locals and visitors alike to visit.

Hospital staff went the extra mile

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff of Tan Tock Seng Hospital for their care of my mother, Madam Lim A Soi, when she was at the hospital.

The staff went the extra mile to make my mother's last days comfortable and painless, and time that she could spend with dignity.

After her death, the team continued to check in with my family.

These individuals are truly the angels of our healthcare system and I cannot express my gratitude enough.

I thank them again, for all that they have done.
