Beware blurring line between state, religion

Miss Poh Wei Ling has good intentions but unwittingly also raises a number of critical issues ("Faith has no price tag"; Thursday).

She also advocates a few ideas for state intervention that could blur the separation of state and religion.

Every community of faith has its own teachings regarding financial fiduciary matters.

And we have adequate laws against criminal activities.

It is the prerogative of every individual to decide on matters of faith.

If an individual does not subscribe to a particular teaching, that person should be free to leave that faith community.

This is what freedom of religion is all about.
