Ample help available at airport for those who need it

We refer to Mr Konidala Perumal Munirathnam's letter (Changi Airport should offer free buggy rides to passengers who need help; June 3).

At Changi Airport, passengers can use the wheelchairs and baby strollers which we provide free of charge and are readily available at many locations throughout the airport.

In addition, our terminals have intra-terminal skytrains and moving travellators to help passengers get to boarding gates that are near the end of the piers.

Passengers with reduced mobility can also request their airlines for facilitation at the point of flight booking or during check-in.

The airlines would arrange for ground-handling staff to assist passengers with their journeys by wheelchair or buggy transfer.

Passengers who need additional help may also approach our information counters for assistance.
