Agencies responsible for updating own info on govt directory

We thank Mr David Kwok Ng Kan for his letter (Update online Govt directory; June 29).

We agree with Mr Kwok that such directories must be updated.

That was why we moved from the print version of the Singapore Government Directory, which was printed annually, to the online SGDI portal, which is updated much more regularly.

Presently, agencies are responsible for updating their own information on the SGDI, as they have the most up-to-date information on their organisation and staff structures.

As administrator of the SGDI portal, the Ministry of Communications and Information will review our processes regularly to ensure that agencies continue to update their information in a timely fashion.

Meanwhile, if Mr Kwok has come across outdated information or has any further feedback, he can write to us at www.gov.sg/feedback-form

We will follow up with the relevant agency.
