The Big Spell 2017
SINGAPORE - With a "braggadocio", Eashaa Pillai, nine, a Primary 5 pupil from Raffles Girls' Primary School won the sixth edition of the RHB-The Straits Times National Spelling Championship on Saturday (April 22).
Last year, a record 1,805 participants took part in The Big Spell 2016. See some of the best images from the event as pupils from all over the country vied for the top prize of $5,000.
More than 100 pupils from 45 primary schools gathered at four venues islandwide on Saturday (April16), hoping to spell their way to success.
