SINGAPORE – Media planner Yi Ting secured a position in a company after a referral by a friend, but was offered a monthly wage at least $500 below what was advertised on online job sites.
“The basic salary offered didn’t even meet the minimum amount in the ad,” said the 27-year-old, who declined to give her surname.
