US crude oil exports rise to 15-yr high in January

NEW YORK (REUTERS) - US crude oil exports, which are severely limited by law, rose in January to the highest level since 1999 at 245,000 barrels per day (bpd), compared with 190,000 bpd in December, Energy Information Administration data showed on Friday.

All the crude went to Canada, according to the data.

Exports of refined products, which are not restricted by law, slipped to 2.88 million bpd in January compared with 3.3 million bpd in December.
