Traditional Chinese medicine shops are a common sight in residential estates, but their products are becoming increasingly popular online as businesses once considered staid and old-fashioned turn to e-commerce platforms.

The move is part of a wider trend of firms that seemed to have long resisted change now keen on embracing technology to reach out to more consumers.
