Tiong Seng to set up new $15.6 million precast plant in Iskandar, Malaysia

CONSTRUCTION firm Tiong Seng has secured approval to build a new $15.6 million precast plant in Iskandar Malaysia, the latest in a long list of local firms setting up shop there.

The new facility will help boost the company's precast materials production capacity by some 60 per cent, said Tiong Seng.

It added that the new plant, sited on a 5.57ha piece of land, will complement its current precast plant at Tuas and give the firm more capacity to accept bigger orders from external customers.

With the new plant, the firm is aiming to supply half of its total precast output to external customers by 2015.
