Stratech secures contract to upgrade existing system at Changi Airport

Singapore-listed Stratech Systems has clinched a contract from the Singapore government to upgrade its foreign object and debris detection system at Changi International Airport.

The iFerret infrastructure will be upgraded to also include airfield surveillance, the technology systems company said on Monday.

"Airfield surveillance is critical for real-time incident management as well as post-event analysis for runway incursions and excursions, and other emergencies," Stratech said in a filing to the Singapore Exchange.

"The win is significant in that it marks the entrance of iFerret into airfield surveillance," said the company's executive chairman David K.M. Chew.

The contract is not expected to substantially affect Stratech's financial results for the current financial year ending Mar 31.
