Seven Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) journalists have received awards for their financial reporting over the past year.

Straits Times reporter Rachel Scully was among the winners, picking up a special award in the Promising Journalist of the Year category.

Veteran Money Desk staff member, senior correspondent Goh Eng Yeow received an award for outstanding commentaries, at a presentation ceremony held on Friday at Resorts World Convention Centre.

Chinese daily LianHe ZaoBao's Mr Cheow Kai Jian, and Ms Andrea Soh of the Business Times were named Promising Journalists of the Year.

Business Times correspondents Cai Haoxiang and Kenneth Lim also received awards at a presentation ceremony tonight.

The Sunday Times Invest section clinched an accolade for media excellence in community investor education - an award given out for the first time this year.
