South-east district gets SME advisory centre

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the south-east of Singapore will now have an advisory centre in their neighbourhood that they can turn to for help.

The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) and South East Community Development Council (CDC) are launching ASME's second satellite SME Centre on Aug 1.

The centre, located within the South East CDC premises at 10 Eunos Road, will be known as SME Centre@SouthEast.

Like the other existing SME Centres, this latest one will offer businesses one-to-one advice on Government schemes, guidance on grant application, business diagnosis and more in-depth advice in areas such as productivity, finance, human resources and overseas expansion.

The centres are also tasked to hold workshops to help SMEs learn how to improve their productivity and financial knowledge.

They are also expected to organise networking and business-matching events to connect SMEs with local and overseas partners.
