A subsidiary of Singapore-listed water treatment firm Hyflux has signed a strategic co-operation framework agreement to develop a project in China's Sichuan province.
The Hejiang Fobao Yulanshan Mountain Wetlands project is planned to be a world-class ecological and environmentally friendly development consisting of residential, commercial, recreational and tourism developments, Hyflux said in a statement on Monday.
Its subsidiary Hyflux Management and Consultancy (HMC) signed the agreement, which is valid for six months, with the Hejiang County People's Government and Sichuan Hengxin Weiye Investment Co.
HMC and Sichuan Hengxin Weiye Investment Co will conduct feasibility studies and work with the Hejiang County People's Government on how to develop the project, including the design and development of sustainable water infrastructure and other environment-related facilities.
The agreement is not expected to have a material financial impact on Hyflux for the financial year ending Dec 31 this year.
