Singapore shares slipped in morning trading on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index down almost 18 points, or 0.57 per cent, to 3,151.8 as at 12.30pm Singapore time.
A total of 1.2 billion shares were traded in the morning, worth $483.6 million in all.
Losers led gainers 232 to 83, while 639 counters remained unchanged.
Among the most active stocks by midday were Keppel Corp, which added 2 cents to $10.54, and SingTel, which lost 3 cents to $3.65.
