SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Thursday (Oct 5), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,236.85 in early trade, up 0.01 per cent, or 0.2 points.
About 42.8 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 61 to 59.
