Singapore shares end marginally higher on Boxing Day

Singapore shares inched up 7.07 points, or 0.23 per cent, to end at 3,134.36 on Thursday.

There were 300 gainers, outnumbering 127 losers, with 3.8 billion shares worth $601.5 million changing hands.

It was a mixed day for Asian bourses, even after a record close on Wall Street in pre-holiday trade.

Financial markets in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand were closed for a public holiday.
