Resale prices of non-landed private homes dipped 0.4 per cent in April from March and transaction volume slowed, the Singapore Real Estate Exchange (SRX) said on Friday.

The price drop was biggest in the city centre and city fringe, where average prices fell 1.9 per cent each to $1,722 psf and $1,267 psf respectively from the preceding month.

This outweighed a 1 per cent price rise in suburban areas to an average price of $1.022 psf.

Volumes also plunged to 572 units transacted in April, 50 per cent lower year-on-year and slightly less than the 614 units resold in March.
