Singapore and Jiangsu deepen their relationship with new agreements

Nine memoranda of understanding (MOUs) were signed between Singapore and Jiangsu on Oct 30, strengthening the relationship between Singapore and the Chinese province.

They were signed in Xuzhou, China, where the seventh Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council (SJCC) meeting was held.

The agreements signed were in the areas of environmental services, education and training, integrated mixed-use developments, master planning, social management as well as urban solutions.

Singapore's Minister for Education Heng Swee Keat and Jiangsu governor Li Xueyong co-chaired the meeting, which was also graced by deputy co-chairmen of the council - Minister of State for Trade and Industry Teo Ser Luck and Jiangsu vice-governor Fu Ziying.
