SINGAPORE - The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has issued a "trade with caution" warning over shares of engineering firm Terratech Group after they more than doubled in a single day of trading on Friday.
The SGX said it had asked the company about the share price leap of 120 per cent and a substantial increase in trading volume. On Sunday, Terratech responded that it was not aware of any reason that could explain this.
In a statement on Monday (Dec 7), the bourse operator said: "The exchange will investigate all possible transgressions, and will work with the relevant regulatory agencies to pursue actions to maintain a fair, orderly and transparent market."
In the meantime, investors should "exercise caution when dealing in the securities".
