SINGAPORE - BHG Department Store will take over two floors currently occupied by John Little at shopping mall Jurong Point.

It plans to occupy an additional level at Singapore's largest suburban mall and will eventually operate from a floor area of 49,000 square feet.

If realised, this will would make Jurong Point BHG's biggest outlet in the western part of the island.

John Little, which has been with Jurong Point for about 20 years, will exit the mall in the second half of this year, according to a statement from the mall manager.

BHG will introduce an extensive range of products from popular brands as well as exclusive brands across fashion, beauty, home, lifestyle, and kids. It will also retail a wider repertoire of home lifestyle brands, from Living, Kitchen, Dining, Bath, Bedroom and Utility, making the Home & Living department one of its largest in the suburbs, the statement added.

"The opening of BHG Jurong ties in well with our expansion plans for the group and we are very excited to provide yet another avenue for shoppers in this area," said Mr Katsuharu Inamoto, managing director of BHG, adding that "we are confident that shoppers will respond positively to the product mix at our Jurong Point store".

Jurong Point with its 750,000 square feet of lettable space is the largest suburban mall in Singapore.

Anchored by FairPrice Xtra, NTUC FairPrice, Golden Village and three food courts, the mall is owned jointly by Guthrie and Lee Kim Tah.
