President Halimah Yacob being guided by the "way finder robot" during her visit to GIC's offices on Tuesday, alongside GIC chief executive Lim Chow Kiat. The President was accompanied on her visit by the Council of Presidential Advisers. They were given an overview of the organisation by Mr Lim and the GIC team, who also provided an assessment of the market and investment outlook. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, President Halimah said GIC is an important institution of Singapore and she looks forward to working closely with the organisation to fulfil its "key role of ensuring that Singapore continues to have a strong reserves position".
